Escofet, a tile company out of Barcelona, recently caught my attention. They've been making these hydraulic ceramic tiles since the late 1800's. The patterns have an Arts & Crafts movement feel but also have a freshness about them.
Although I love the color and attitude of the Modernist tiles, Escofet also does contemporary work and architectural installations, like concrete planters and public sculptures.
